And so another two weeks disappear at a rate of knots without a post. The last wee while seems to have been a bit strange to be honest. I have a new camera which I haven’t quite got to grips with yet so my photos have been a bit pants which has left me a bit discouraged. Plus I always seem to think about taking photos after the event. In some ways that is good as I am enjoying the here and now but it really isn’t much cop if you want to blog about something! I must have a stern word with myself.
There have been happy moments though. Ones that I didn’t manage to photograph (I blame my greedy gene for this!)
- The best beef and ale stew. Oh it was so good. The recipe is here and I served it with giant yorkshires and extra green veggies.
- Freshly stewed plums with vanilla served with cream. Recipe here.
- Blackberry and apple crumble and cream. Recipe here.
Clearly Autumn is not a low calorie season. Yikes! Thankfully I have just started running again after a month off and it feels good. Sunday morning was particularly gorgeous as it was a perfect Autumn day. I can confirm that I still find it very hard to run in the evenings though. I am definitely an early bird.
Other things that I did manage to photograph are all the gorgeous colours of Autumn.
A dahlia in my Mum’s garden.
A beautiful red vine.
My michaelmas daisies.
A shaft of sunlight after a cloudy day. I looked like a nutter (I know, I hear you, no change there!!) running round the car park trying to find something to take a photo of as this beautiful shaft of light suddenly appeared.
A walk in the park on a sunny afternoon.
And of course my gorgeous boy.
Joining in with Jen at Little Birdie to celebrate the small, happy things.
