…you will have to forgive me if my posts are a little sporadic. Life here without my small sweet hound is proving harder than I ever expected. I miss him so very, very much.
I have some photos from my Wales trip to post which I will get to next but in the meantime ……fanfare please….the heel on my sock has been turned and I am winging my way down the foot
I did most of this whilst sat looking out at the sea with my small hound chilling at my feet so it has become a very special sock indeed.
P.S. My 52 weeks of happy are on a bit of a break at the moment. I am sure they will be back at some point.
P.P.S Thank to everyone for their comments and support. It is very much appreciated.
It has been a very tough few days. Late Friday evening I had to put my beloved sweet hound to sleep. He was taken ill suddenly while we were away on holiday with him and sadly his poor old heart couldn’t cope with fighting an infection and keeping going.
On the beach in Wales last Tuesday
Enjoying the late afternoon sun.
I have so very much to be grateful for. I had the pleasure of his company 24/7 for 5 days when we were on holiday. He was with all his very favourite people and in one of his favourite places during that time too. I rescued him at the age of ten so to have him for 5 longs years was a complete blessing as I only expected to have him for 2 years. I really was so very lucky.
Tucking into an extra special breakfast on holiday.
But it is so very, very hard. I miss him enormously.
This Irish blessing seems to suit the moment perfectly as my little man loved to have his face in the sun.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
An older photo but at the same house that we rented last week.
RIP my beautiful, special houndlet.
